Mp3tag to darmowe, polskojęzyczne narzędzie do wygodnej edycji tagów ID3 w wersjach ID3v1 i ID3v2.Możliwe jest wpisywanie, modyfikacja i kasowanie w osobnych plikach, lub równocześnie we wszystkich we wskazanym katalogu i podkatalogach.
* Z bazy freedb pobierana jest informacja o całych albumach, która może automatycznie posłużyć do wypełniania tagów, lub też wpis jest generowany na podstawie ścieżki dostępu i nazwy pliku.
* Możliwy jest też proces odwrotny: na podstawie tagów zmieniane są nazwy plików i katalogów wg ustalonego przez użytkownika schematu.
* Mp3tag daje możliwość zapisania całej listy utworów jako arkusza kalkulacyjnego, pliku tekstowego lub strony html.
