Program do wymiany plików w sieci Torrent. Jego rdzeń został w całości napisany w C++. Aplikacja jest bardzo szybka i stabilna, zajmuje znikomą ilość zasobów systemowych - pracując w tle. Potrafi ograniczyć transfer, jaki wysyłamy innym użytkownikom sieci, przerywać i wznawiać połączenie oraz umożliwia dodawanie do ściąganych plików rozszerzenie .bc! (podobnie jak dodaje FlashGet - .jc!), dzięki czemu bez trudu rozróżnimi pliki, które jeszcze do końca nie są pobrane. BitComet jest oczywiście wolny od oprogramowania spyware, posiada również system automatycznej aktualizacji.
